We will open September 17 for the fall season.

Education is our priority!

At J B Tree Farm, our goal is to present memorable, informative lessons and activities to your group.  Our focus  for 2009  is "FOOD FROM UNDERGROUND."  It is surprising how many of our food items are actually underground during their growing season.  We will dig some up and clean them off so we can learn about vegetables that grow under the surface.  There will be some tasting, as usual.  Be ready for a food adventure!

We continually watch for and try new tasting and touching opportunities so that the 20-minute "lesson" is full of fun for everyone, from tiny ones through adults.

Our Basic School Tour takes about an hour.  Groups rotate through varying numbers of the possible activities listed, depending on number of groups you have.  Each person receives a decorating project item.  Leaders also chose a medium pumpkin for their room.

Standard activities:

  • An educational presentation with lots of hands-on participation.

  • A reindeer visit with informative facts

  • An old-fashioned hayride through our fields (canopy available for rainy days).

  • A decorating activity

  • A brief overview of Christmas tree varieties when age-appropriate
